John Erman is a film and television director. He has been nominated for ten Emmy Awards. From the Directors Guild of America, John has won awards for Roots Part II(1978) and An Early Frost (1986).  He also won a Peabody Award for An Early Frost, the Silver Nymph Award from Monte Carlo festival for The Blackwater Lightship(2004), and an Emmy for Who Will Love My Children? (1983).  John teaches The Golden Age of Broadway and Revolutionary Playwrights of the 1960’s at NYUSPS Center for Applied Liberal Arts. He has also taught at Columbia University and Fordham University.
