John Erman

Adjunct Instructor

John Erman is a film and television director. His work has been nominated for ten Emmy Awards and he won an Emmy for Who Will Love My Children? (1983). Erman has won awards from the Directors Guild of America for Roots Part II (1978) and An Early Frost (1986).  He also won a Peabody Award for An Early Frost and the Silver Nymph Award from Monte Carlo Festival for The Blackwater Lightship (2004). Erman teaches in the Film Studies program at NYU SPS Center for Applied Liberal Arts. He has also taught at Columbia University and Fordham University.
