Adjunct Assistant Professor

Christine Trotter, PhD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the American Language Institute, where she coordinates the Professional English Program and teaches writing and public speaking. She is a two-time recipient of the SPS Teaching Excellence Award: once from the Paul McGhee Division, where she taught writing, film, and critical thinking courses, and once from the ALI. She has been awarded several grants for pedagogy and serves as co-chair of a professional development group at the ALI, which encourages professional enrichment through ongoing presentations and seminars by and for language instructors. She has presented at conferences, on topics such as "Poetry as a Second Language" and "Addressing the Whole Brain: Learning English through Magazine Production." She is a writer of short stories and poetry.
