Marty Appel is a lifelong New Yorker who has worked as a writer (24 books including New York Times best-sellers), as a TV producer (Emmy Award winning; Yankees baseball, Giants and Jets football, scripted specials), a public relations professional (NY Yankees, MLB, WPIX, Atlanta Olympics, Topps Company, and head of his own firm), voiceover artist (reading text of his own book), actor (small part, Purple Rose of Cairo), public speaker (many and varied audiences), historian (generally considered among the leading historians of NY Yankees), and guest instructor (NYU, Pace, Columbia, others).
