Estelle Erasmus, an award-winning journalist and writing coach, and author of Writing That Gets Noticed: Find Your Voice, Become a Better Storyteller, Get Published (New World Library, June 2023) has written for over 100 publications, including The New York Times, Writer's Digest, GH, WIRED, The Washington Post, and Salon. Formerly editor-in-chief of five national consumer publications, she is a longtime member of the American Society of Magazine Editors and The American Society of Journalists and Authors. Erasmus appeared on Good Morning America and won an ASJA award for her viral New York Times article "How to Bullyproof Your Child." Erasmus is a recipient of the 2023 NYU SPS Teaching Excellence Award, hosts the Freelance Writing Direct podcast, created and hosts NYU’s popular Editor-On Call Series, and was the “All About the Pitch” columnist for Writer’s Digest. She has taught, coached, and mentored many writers who have gone on to be widely published.
