Writing and Developing a TV Series

Have a great idea for a continuing or limited series for cable, network, or the web? Now is the time to write it. Not since television began have there been so many possibilities for new voices, nor so much competition to be heard. That’s why it’s more crucial than ever that your idea be fully developed and professionally presented. Learn all you need to do this, including the all-important presentation document—sometimes called the show’s “bible”—which includes an introduction, premise, characters, and outlines of the first episode and the season, along with breakdowns for future episodes.
This course may be used to fulfill the requirements of the Certificate in Writing and Producing for Film and Television. It may be taken to pursue the certificate, or as a standalone course.
