Stephen Sheppard

Stephen Sheppard

Adjunct Instructor

Stephen Sheppard was born and raised in New York City and is an NYU-alumnus. He is an Adjunct Instructor at the Center for Applied Liberal Art, NYUSPS. After working at CBS News for thirty years, he retired in 2013, and currently teaches courses in writing and reporting, as well as a “hands-on” production course in the making of news magazine segments for television. At CBS, he worked with Don Hewitt at 60 Minutes as an editor, writer, and producer and his first segment, Inside Afghanistan, won a Network Craft Emmy for editing. Sheppard has taught across the United States as well as in Singapore and Colombia.
