Shana Renee Stephenson received her B.A. in Psychology from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA and her M.S. in Sports Business from New York University in New York, NY. As a former ESPN marketing professional, Shana Renee understands how sports, pop culture and the language of today’s athletes intersect – adding a unique perspective, relatable relevance and necessary voice to a traditionally male-driven sports community.  Stephenson is a weekly espnW contributor and has also appeared on MSNBC’s Melisa Harris-Perry Show, BlackEnterprise.com and Essence.com discussing the intersections of sports, race, and gender. She joins New York University as an adjunct professor.
