Adjunct Instructor

Evan Kaplan, B.S.E. is a adjunct professor of solar and renewable energy within the School Professional Studies. He currently works as a Senior Project Manager at Bright Power and plays a key role in project development, design, and construction activities. He collaborates with the sales team and clients from a preliminary consulting phase to contract signature, and follows the projects to completion. He works on numerous cutting edge projects, including solar on new construction buildings, CHP, and battery-backup resiliency projects. He has managed over 7 MW of solar projects in five states and has worked on the award winning Whole Foods Gowanus and Konterra projects. Prior to joining Bright Power, Evan worked at Solaire Generation, a solar carport design company and at Altaeros Energy, a Boston-based wind energy company. Evan has extensive experience making solar projects happen in the challenging NYC regulatory market. Evan graduated from The University of Michigan with a Degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering and previously worked in the yacht and commercial vessel design industry.
