
Maria Luisa Tucker
Adjunct ProfessorMaria Luisa Tucker is an Adjunct Professor of writing at The Center for Applied Liberal Arts, NYUSPS. She has written for The Village Voice, The New York Times Learning Network blog, Alternet.org, and the Santa Fe Reporter, where she won several awards for her investigative journalism, including a national First Place Media Reporting award from the Association of Alternative Newsmedia. She now serves as the editorial director at Youth Communication, a non-profit organization that runs a writing program for at-risk teens and publishes magazines, curricula, and anthologies. Tucker holds a BA in journalism from Texas State University and a MA in American Studies from Columbia University.
