Introduction to the Markets

This introduction to the securities markets provides the foundation needed for the study of finance. Learn the differences among stocks, bonds, commodities, futures, derivatives, options, and currencies. Topics include the history of capital markets and their function; risk/return trade-off; fundamental versus technical analysis; and contemporary investor attitudes, problems, and pitfalls. This course also lays the groundwork for Fundamentals of Financial Portfolio Management/FINA1-CE9001, the introductory course to portfolio management.
