Ethics in Project Management

Explore the many ethical issues that project managers face that can jeopardize project success, and examine the ethical principles that PMI® emphasizes in its Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct®. Discuss the repercussions of ethical failures on projects, using real-world examples from projects and current events. Explore how strong ethics are key to long-term profit and company growth and what the root causes are behind ethical failure. Acquire strategies for keeping the competing interests of the customer and the performing organization in balance, as well as best practices from the corporate world for fostering an ethical workplace. Gain practice with PMI’s Ethical Decision-Making Framework (EDMF)®, and practice answering ethics-based questions that are representative of those found on the PMP® exam. The content and subject matter presented in this course are aligned with A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide)—Sixth Edition (Project Management Institute, Inc., 2017) and other appropriate PMI® global standards.
