Richard Shein
Adjunct Assistant ProfessorRichard Shein, MS, is currently the Chief Financial Officer at the New York Historical Society where he oversees all financial aspects of this $25 million organization. His former positions have included being the Budget Director at the American Museum of Natural History and Associate Budget Director at Columbia University. He has held key financial management positions for O’Brian Kreitzberg (JFK Airport Redevelopment Project), New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. In addition, he was a senior manager for Deloitte Consulting specializing in not-for-profit and government operations and finance. Richard teaches courses on financial management of cultural institutions at NYUSPS. He is a former Presidential Management Fellow.
