Markus Hoecherl is adjunct instructor for commercial asset management at Schack Institute of Real Estate focusing on strategic planning. He is a principal at Real Estate Strategy and Capital specializing in areas of complex strategic, financial and performance enhancements. He built his record as head of hospitality at The Greenwich Group for acquisitions and building a Series II commercial acquisition platform, serving as corporate ambassador for Starwood transforming the W Hotels footprint and as associate principal at Kohn Pedersen Fox launching phase 1 of New Songdo City, a $35B South Korean development. His academic research ranges from how mobility reshapes cities (2003) to white papers on investments (2012). For his achievements, he was awarded scholarships to Columbia University and Escola Tecnica Superior de Barcelona.
