Adjunct Instructor

Cristina C. Patterson began her career at City College of New York (CUNY) where she was assistant supervisor of the ESL Learning Center and full-time faculty. As an Adjunct Lecturer, Patterson has taught numerous ESL and English composition courses using criminology, sociology, and gender equality as themes at John Jay College of Criminal Justice for 20 years. She has taught business English at Katharine Gibbs School, humanities at Polytechnic University, and academic courses at New York Technical College and Pace University. Patterson is a part-time faculty member at The New School for Public Engagement, New York University, and City University of New York. Patterson earned an MA in TESOL from New York University and a BA in Communication Arts in English from Maryknoll College.
