Navigating Zoning, Land Use, and Development Planning

Examine land use, zoning, entitlements, and environmental impact assessments that directly affect development planning for real estate developments. With a focus on New York City regulations, topics include site selection, land use analyses, introduction to basic zoning analyses, introduction to Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP), introduction to City Environmental Quality Review (CEQR) regulation, concepts of lot mergers, land assemblage, and transfer of development rights. Gain a better understanding of risks and opportunities through the lens of community-based planning for best and highest uses, and insights into scheduling and project managing for complex development projects.

Note: Registering at least two weeks prior to the start of the course date is highly recommended. Popular classes fill up quickly and more specialized classes need sufficient enrollment.
