Learning Design: Practices

This course takes a deep dive into all phases of the instructional design model, ADDIE, and the challenges that learning designers may face during each phase. Starting with a robust needs assessment, students will utilize various data collection techniques to determine desired outcomes and will build behavioral learning objectives to address uncovered needs. A focus on measurement and evaluation will help students showcase the successes of their training efforts in their organizations. Issues in implementation and delivery of training round out this practical examination of the tasks associated with building more than just a training event, but a learning experience and a broader learning culture.

Registering at least three weeks prior to the course start date is highly recommended.

This course is only offered in the SPRING semester.
