Foundations of Clean Energy
Cleantech is a dynamic and growing field with frequent new discoveries, innovations, and setbacks, along with ever-increasing urgency. This course will provide foundational knowledge of the cleantech landscape across multiple perspectives. The course will guide students in understanding traditional and nontraditional clean technologies and teach how to assess their impacts and viability. The electrical system, including clean generation, transmission, distribution, and energy efficiency, will be given focus. Industry professionals will serve as guest lecturers on key topics, including the many levels of policy, transportation, and cleantech in the developing context.
