An expert in marketing communications and healthcare, Michael Durand has worked as outside counsel for both large and small biopharmaceutical companies and medical organizations and has advised clients around the world on advocacy, brand strategies and enlisting public support for health issues.

Michael was the founding director of Porter Novelli’s Global Health Care Practice and was also managing director of health care strategy for Ogilvy Public Relations. He holds a Masters in Health Communications from Boston University as well as a graduate diploma from UCLA in public relations. He is the recipient of the Frank J. Weaver Lifetime Achievement Award from the Public Relations Society of America, several Silver Anvil and Big Apple awards from PRSA and the Excellence in Graduate Study award from Boston University. 

His clients have included Amgen, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Novartis, the American Medical Association and the CDC.
