Juggling everything can be…a lot. Many SPS students are balancing full time jobs, a family, or a number of other additional priorities on top of being a student. The good news is that you don’t have to do it alone.

Time Management (eventually we can add in academic coaching once it’s built) and Academic Skills: NYU SPS has over thirty peer mentors who can help you hone your skills in and out of the classroom so that you can arrive confidently on time and get your assignments done before the deadline.
Tutoring Support: If you need help in the classroom, our peer tutors and the Academic Resource Center are ready to help.

Navigating NYU’s Ecosystem

NYU and New York City can feel overwhelmingly large and complex, so let us help you demystify some of the processes and offices you’ll need to interact with as a student. In addition to what’s above, we can help you better understand:

Classroom & Learning Accommodations: If you have a documented need for accommodations or if you’re just curious whether you might qualify, the Moses Center for Accessibility and Inclusive Culture will talk you through accommodations and help you get squared away with your professors.
Policy & Registration Guidance: What’s an add/drop deadline? Why should I register for classes as early as possible? Which class is the most important for me to take? Your academic advisor is here to answer your registration questions. If you’re a new student, your advisor will be assigned closer to the start of your first semester.
