The NYU School of Professional Studies (SPS) hosted a virtual Graduate Deans Welcome & Orientation on Thursday, August 27th, 2020. The event included a panel discussion for all new Division of Programs in Business (DPB) students across seven master’s programs. Dr. Martin Ihrig, Associate Dean of DPB, welcomed over 150 participants and moderated the panel discussion.

Distinguished panelists included: Shaunice Hawkins, adjunct instructor, Public Relations & Corporate Communication; Roksolana Sheverack, current student, Management & Systems; Jim Da Song, alum, Integrated Marketing; Woody Woodward, clinical assistant professor, Human Capital Management.

The panelists shared their perspectives on topics such as landing your dream job, embracing the virtual academic experience, and balancing work and school. Their conversation also included advice on staying connected and pursuing academic and professional goals during these unprecedented times. “We’re going to prepare you to be the leaders that will bring us forward once this crisis is over,” said Dean Ihrig.
