The NYUSPS Division of Programs in Business (DPB) hosted its Fall 2019 Kickoff for faculty and staff on Tuesday, August 27th, 2019. The evening began with a presentation on "Using Neuroscience Principles to Optimize Student Learning," by Monica Lewin, Lecturer/Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow and Trace Jordan, Director of the Foundations of Scientific Inquiry at the NYU College of Arts & Science. Drs. Lewin and Jordan discussed types of memory, strategies for enhancing comprehension and long-term retention, and how to apply those practices in the classroom.

Division of Programs in Business Hosts Fall 2019 Kickoff for Faculty and Staff
Following the workshop at the NYU Midtown Center, guests attended a special welcome-back reception at the Princeton Club of New York. Dean Ihrig welcomed nearly 100 faculty and staff members and shared his vision for the forthcoming semester.
DPB is the largest division at the NYU School of Professional Studies, with over 2,100 students, 500 faculty, and 6,700 alumni. The Division comprises four centers of excellence that educate leaders in the functional areas of an enterprise. Each department’s credit and non-credit portfolio of educational offerings serves students at every level of their careers, providing them with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in critical positions in their professional development.
