The Future of Human Resource Management: Innovation
The HR field often focuses on "best practices," but "best practices" can only advance your organization to the point of "best already in use." Is that really enough to provide a competitive advantage? This course will focus on fundamental innovation in human resource management, and in general management as well, in response to the rapidly changing external environment. The course will focus on new ideas, processes, and programs, as opposed to looking for new ways to deliver the same old ideas. This course will encourage innovative ways of thinking about business challenges. To develop innovations in human resource management, students will need to expand the way they think. This course will certainly not provide all of the answers, but it is critically important to think about the future and to begin to anticipate the questions. The objective of the course is for students to develop a strong spirit of innovation.
