Certificate in Health and Well-Being Coaching

Develop a holistic, integrative approach to coaching

The Certificate in Health and Well-being Coaching is a dynamic, three-semester program that delivers a comprehensive, evidence-based coaching education through live instruction, small class sizes, and individualized mentorship. Grounded in a whole-person approach that integrates the mind, body, spirit, and environment, the program recognizes that health and well-being are inherently individualized and cannot be addressed with a one-size-fits-all approach. Learners build a foundation in coaching skills, tools, and strategies that is rooted in both theory and practice. This practice offers an innovative curriculum designed to meet the evolving landscape of coaching and healthcare by integrating key pillars—including behavior change, the fundamentals of chronic disease prevention and self-management, and health promotion—into a robust, evidence-based approach. Learners are equipped to cultivate effective coaching relationships in both individual and group settings by applying evidence-informed strategies refined through experiential learning, active engagement, mindfulness, and self-reflection. Learners who complete the program develop strategies needed to nurture, sustain, and enhance their professional development as coaches, with the potential to transform their personal and professional lives.

This certificate is awarded to students who successfully complete three required courses.
