Coaching Theory and Skills for Health and Well-being explores the key theories, models, and evidence-based approaches that support meaningful behavior change. Learners will build a strong foundation of coaching knowledge, skills, and strategies to address whole-person health. The course also emphasizes professional standards and ethical practice, preparing learners to apply coaching principles responsibly and effectively in diverse health and well-being contexts.
This is the second course in the Certificate in Health and Well-being Coaching. In order to enroll in this course, you must have successfully completed Foundations of Health and Well-being Coaching.
Certificate in Health and Well-being Coaching at NYU School of Professional Studies is an Approved Health and Wellness Coach Training & Education Program by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC). Graduates of this program are eligible to apply for the HWC Certifying Examination to become National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC).
