Strategic Communications and Corporate Storytelling
Learn to craft compelling narratives that match the tone and intentions of a company, brand, or communication campaign. Build understanding and skill in the type of storytelling that influences, informs, and persuades. This includes the appropriate use of storytelling and narrative elements in writing for digital media and promotional copy, as well as traditional corporate documentation. Also, consider content strategies aimed at leveraging social media platforms and maximizing audience engagement. Registering at least three weeks prior to the course start date is highly recommended.
This course is delivered in an online, self-paced (asynchronous) format. The instructor interacts with students and facilitates group discussions within NYU’s online learning platform. There are weekly deadlines for lesson and assignment completion.
This course may be used to fulfill the requirements of the Certificate in Storytelling and the Certificate in Professional Writing and Communications. It may be taken to pursue these certificates, or as a standalone course. Questions? Contact us at The Center for Publishing and Applied Liberal Arts: Email sps.pala.ce@nyu.edu or call 212-998-7289.
