Media, Writing, and Communications Certificate in Professional Writing and Communications

Diploma Description

The quality of communication on the job, regardless of the industry, has a major impact on an employee’s reputation and professional image. This certificate, which can be taken fully online, provides participants with the communication skills necessary to compete and succeed in a rapidly evolving workplace. Master proven persuasive and public speaking strategies used by leading professionals and entrepreneurs. Learn ways to influence others through advanced messaging and storytelling techniques. Students who have completed the Certificate in Professional Writing and Communications will be able to claim a competitive professional edge by demonstrating a high-level proficiency in writing, communication, and presentation skills, and by having strategies for adapting those tools to a growing and ever-changing technological landscape.

The certificate is awarded to students who successfully complete three required courses and three elective courses from the list below. Courses from other Media, Writing, and Communications certificates may be applied as substitutions pending advance review and approval by the academic department. The certificate must be completed within three years of taking the first certificate-eligible course.
