Danny Steed, PhD - Clinical Associate Professor in Cybersecurity - is an author, consultant, and public speaker. As an academic, Danny specialises in the fields of war studies, strategic studies, intelligence studies, and cybersecurity. His most recent book is titled The Politics and Technology of Cyber Security, released in paperback by Routledge in 2021. His forthcoming book, British Intelligence, Security, and Cyber, will be published by Bloomsbury in 2027.
A scholar-practitioner, Danny previously worked inside The Cabinet Office (UK) in operational cybersecurity. As a consultant he has worked with a wide range of industries advising and delivering cybersecurity guidance, training, and assessment. As a public speaker, Danny delivers thought leadership messaging and simulation exercises internationally.
Danny is open to supervision queries from, especially, serving or former military and intelligence personnel from NATO and FVEY nations.
