Shonna Keogan is a professional communicator with more than two decades of experience in marketing, public relations, corporate communications, and journalism. She currently serves as Senior Director of Executive Communications at New York University, where she focuses on institutional priorities and crisis response. Shonna has held various roles in NYU communications, encompassing publicizing scientific research, performing arts, and arts education, before assuming her current role on the institutional communications team.
Prior to joining NYU, Shonna was founder and principal of her own consultancy practice, SK Communications, focusing on emerging businesses. Her clients included the University of Albany, GridApp Systems, CoKinetic Technologies, GetMyBoat, NYU Stern in Westchester, the Dwight Schools (International), and Informa Investment Solutions. Prior to SK Communications, Shonna served as Director of Corporate Communications at Register.com and Press Secretary for the City of New York.
Shonna holds a B.Sc. with Honours from the University of Bristol (UK), and an M.B.A. from the NYU Stern School of Business, with a concentration in Marketing and Management. She lives in Mamaroneck, NY, with her two children.
