Dr. Vanja Bogicevic is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Hospitality Marketing at the NYUSPS Jonathan M. Tisch Center of Hospitality. She earned a Ph.D. in Consumer Sciences from The Ohio State University; an M.S. in Hospitality Administration Management from the College of Hospitality & Tourism Leadership, University of South Florida; and an M.Arch. and a B.Arch. in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Novi Sad, Serbia.

Her research explores the role of design, service technologies, and virtual reality marketing on hospitality and tourism customers. Her work has been featured in peer-reviewed journal publications, including in the Tourism Management, the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research, the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, and the Journal of Business Research, as well as the press releases in Hotel News Now, Forbes, Skift, and Travel+Leisure. In addition, Dr. Bogicevic gave more than 20 presentations at national and international conferences. She serves in the editorial board of the Psychology and Marketing journal. Her research has been highly commended by the Emerald/EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards.

Previously, Dr. Bogicevic served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Ohio State University, as well as design consultant and practitioner. During her time at the Ohio State, Dr. Bogicevic developed a Virtual Reality Laboratory and designed the first Healthcare Environmental and Hospitality Services certificate program. At the NYUSPS’ Tisch Center, Dr. Bogicevic teaches Applied Research, Brand Management, and Hospitality Marketing and Sales classes and oversees the development of the Hospitality Innovation Hub, a collaborative technology, research and educational center.
