Dr. Ching-Fu Lan is the founder of Citizen Invention, an educational program dedicated to the democratization of invention through design thinking and emerging technologies. He was formerly a researcher at EdLab, Columbia University, and is currently affiliated with Teachers College Record at Columbia University, where he reviews research manuscripts and conducts archival research.
Throughout his career, Dr. Lan has examined how technologies and new media serve as platforms for creative expression. More recently, his work has focused on how artificial intelligence can empower individuals and democratize opportunities across diverse professional fields. He holds an M.S.Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania and a Ph.D. from Teachers College, Columbia University.
