Working with the Media

Media is infinite. Audiences are splintered. Attention is limited.  How does a Public Relations professional elevate and maintain public interest, earn credibility, and build organizational reputation in an information-overloaded world? In this class, learn how to enhance visibility and influence by cultivating relationships with a broad mix of external media outlets including legacy, independent and social, as well as increase public interaction with owned and operated channels of communication. Students develop techniques for creating successful media outreach strategies that may be scaled and applied to every Public Relations campaign.
