International Political Economy

Gain an understanding of economic principles and policymakers’ goals, means, and challenges when attempting to influence economic outcomes. Through case studies, examine key aspects of the evolving global economy, including the roles and interconnectedness of countries, governments, households, corporations, financial markets, and international multilateral institutions. Emphasis will be placed on current relevant themes related to protectionism, trade, geopolitics, and inequality.  Learn key concepts to better understand the state of the world economy and the opportunities and challenges posed by international economic interdependence.
