Margaret Prust

Margaret has been committed to generating and using evidence for sound decision making in global health for over 15 years. Margaret is a Director on the Analytics and Implementation Research Team at the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI). She has led or heavily engaged as a technical partner in over 20 research studies, supporting all components of work including study design, data collection, data management, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, dissemination, and evidence translation and policy use. In addition to this work, she has led the development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks, dashboards and data use platforms, and modelling exercises. She has worked in over 10 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia and Latin America and across a range of program areas, including HIV/AIDS, human resources for health, health financing, non-communicable diseases, and reproductive health.
Margaret serves on the board of Learning Enterprises, an education non-profit, and previously worked at the Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator, which is the office that oversees the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) program, and in the Division of Immigrant Health Services in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Margaret holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology and Justice and Peace Studies from Georgetown University and a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Yale University. She lives in Connecticut with her husband and two children.
