Richard Dunks

Adjunct Instructor

Richard Dunks has over 6 years of experience as a data analyst in the public sector and, since 2014, has been working with innovative local government agencies and forward-thinking non-profit organizations across the country to develop advanced data science techniques, build data analytics capacity with staff at all levels, and create actionable strategic plans through co-creative collaboration. In addition to developing a range of data classes for public sector clients across the country, Richard has developed and taught data courses at the Pratt Institute, Columbia University, and Johns Hopkins University Center for Government Excellence Academy. Richard is currently an adjunct instructor at New York University and Tulane University teaching data classes to working professionals in the public sector and beyond. Richard holds a BA in Sociology from Ithaca College and an MS in Applied Urban Science and Informatics from the Center for Urban Science and Progress at New York University. He currently resides in Dallas, TX with his 4-year-old son.
