Maud Leclair

Maud Leclair started her career as a researcher in the Asian Art Department at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Specializing in South and Southeast Asian Art, she conducted research on the Met’s Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain art collection for acquisitions, publications, and gallery rotations. She also contributed to the preparation of a major upcoming exhibition on early Buddhist art in India. Leclair earned her master’s degree in art history from the Ecole du Louvre where she focused on early rock-cut architecture in India. She also holds graduate degrees from La Sorbonne and from Sciences Po. She teaches art history courses at NYU SPS in the Center for Applied Liberal Arts.
