Shelley Wolson is a senior copy editor for AARP, part of a 10-person team editing articles for AARP The Magazine and for the AARP Bulletin, as well as for the organization’s website, newsletters, podcasts, and video scripts. A journalist for more than 30 years, she’s also a writer and editor with special expertise in food, lifestyle, and family topics, and the author of Budget Celebrations: The Hostess Guide to Year-Round Entertaining on a Dime. As a freelance copy editor, her clients included Vanity Fair, Glamour, Bon Appétit, GQ, SELF, and Architectural Digest at Condé Nast, Good Housekeeping, Prevention, Woman’s Day, and the books/bookazine division at Hearst, Fortune magazine, Fast Company magazine, Scholastic, and Weight Watchers. Wolson has an MA in Journalism from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, and a BA in Journalism and Radio/Television from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
