Markus Jaeger is a director at Deutsche Bank Research in New York. He is an adjunct instructor at NYU-SPS. He works as a macro strategist covering a variety of global economic, financial and political issues. His past research focused heavily on the emerging markets, especially Brazil and China, as well as the euro area. Previously, Markus worked as a sovereign analyst for Deutsche Bank in London where he was responsible for the Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa region. He has also been a visiting scholar at the European University Institute in Italy and the Institute of Political Economy Studies in Brazil. He holds a MSc and PhD from the London School of Economics.
