Director, Career Development
Edwin co-built and executed recent strategy focused on faculty career education, industry and employer engagement, marketing/communications, and experiential learning/academic partnerships. He was a key leader in activating the Center’s career wellness strategy by realigning student services and scaling coaching reach. In the wake of Covid-19, Edwin created response programs that retained industry engagement and fostered applied learning among SPS students: the Adapt & Achieve Networking Series and the NYUSPS Innovation Challenge.
Edwin first joined NYUSPS in April 2015 as the Manager of Non-Credit Career Development, piloting a career services suite for the non-credit diploma program. Shortly after, he joined the NYUSPS Wasserman Center, serving as an Assistant Director/Career Coach from 2016-2018, and most recently as an Associate Director from 2018-2021.
Edwin is a career changer, with his prior experience having been primarily in event marketing and brand management; he has worked for the New York Stock Exchange, CME Group, and a digital marketing agency in Australia. He earned a BBA in marketing from Hofstra University and a MA in higher education and student affairs from NYU.
He enjoys weekend brunches and volleyball.
