Peace Corps Coverdell Fellowship

The NYU Peace Corps Coverdell Fellowship, for returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs), consists of a 50 percent tuition scholarship and participation in leadership development programming overseen by the NYU Leadership Initiative. The Coverdell Fellowship award at NYUSPS also includes a book stipend. All NYU Coverdell

Fellows must complete an internship at an organization that serves an underserved community in the greater New York City metropolitan area.

Scholarship Responsibilities

  • Meet the Peace Corps eligibility requirements.
  • Complete and submit the NYUSPS application by January 15. In addition to meeting our general admissions criteria, applicants for the fellowship must demonstrate academic excellence and the ability to thrive in a rigorous academic environment. The recommended minimum GPA is 3.50. In addition to academic achievement, applicants must demonstrate professional achievements within their work history.
  • Include a copy of the official "Description of Service" as an attachment in your application.
