Mr. Jacobi has been teaching at SPS for over 10 years and brings a unique blend of experience and accomplishments. Gary began his career at Verizon Corporation and while at Verizon, Gary worked in Treasury Operations and Network/Strategic Planning. From Verizon, Gary moved to the Sell Side where he worked for Bear Stearns, Deutsche Banc and HSBC. While on the sell side, Gary was a publishing analyst writing debt and equity research reports about the telecommunications industry and the key companies in the industry (i.e. AT&T, Sprint, T Mobile and Verizon, amongst others). From the sell side, Gary moved to the buy side where he worked for Morgan Stanley and a large hedge fund located in Greenwich, CT. On the buy side, Gary concentrated on high yield and distressed debt with a focus on the TMT (Telecom, media & Technology) sectors. Gary teaches undergrad and graduate courses in Economics and finance and in addition to teaching at NYU, Gary is also on the faculty at Marist College.
