As a member of the faculty of the New York University School of Professional Studies, Greg Johnson has taught undergraduate and graduate level curriculum in the Division of Programs in Business and Marketing Analytics, where he has emphasized the disruptive influence of emerging technologies (AI, distributed ledgers, Web3 and quantum computing) on legacy business. For over two decades, he has been a CEO and senior executive at Fortune 500 and start-up enterprises in the financial services, insurance and digital asset industries. After becoming one of the youngest Certified Financial Planners in the United States, Greg went on to assume a progression of financial planning, wealth management and insurance leadership roles at American Express, Ameriprise Financial, RiverSource Life Insurance of NY, and most recently, Rubicon Digital Assets. Not only is Greg a serial mentor and advisor to multiple fintech and Web3 start-up ventures, he is also a thought leader in Washington DC at the Atlantic Council GeoTech Center, the prestigious Bretton Woods Committee and serves on the board of the Digital Dollar Project.  In 2023, he was invited to deliver evidentiary testimony in the United Kingdom’s House of Lords All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) hearings on Web3, Metaverse and Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) subject matter. 

Since co-founding Rubicon Digital Assets in 2021, he has quickly become one of the leading voices in the digital asset and blockchain industry and a sought-after speaker in North America, MENA and Europe on topics ranging from digital transformation, virtual assets, real world asset (RWA) tokenization, CBDCs, metaverse and Web3 technologies, cryptocurrency regulation, financial services governance and leadership development.  His media appearances have included NBC News, CNN, Wall Street Journal, TD Ameritrade Financial Network, CoinDesk, Scripps Media, Newsy, Weather Channel, Cheddar and Yahoo Finance. Greg earned his undergraduate degree from The American University Kogod School of Business, Washington D.C. and an MBA from Emory University Goizueta Business School.
