Steven Pae is an adjunct assistant professor at NYU SPS in the Division of Business for Management and Technology. Steven started teaching at NYU in the fall of 2017.
Steven Pae was the former Vice President, CIO Prudential International Insurance. In this role, Steven led the teams responsible for developing and executing global and local technology strategies to drive profitable growth of Prudential’s Japan and Emerging Markets businesses including Brazil, Mexico, and China.
Prior Steven was Business Technology Officer, responsible for the Marketing and Digital Technology globally. In this role, Steven was responsible for the strategy to deliver innovative digital tools and technology solutions that will transform the way we do business and how we interact with customers.
Steven joined Prudential in 2021 and is a seasoned technology leader, brining over 25 years of experience leading teams to develop innovative digital products and services across the financial services landscape. Most recently, Steven was vice president and head of Marcus lending technology for Goldman Sachs Consumer Bank Division. There he successfully led agile delivery and cross-functional engineers in the digital consumer lending business. His teams drove acquisition of new customers and enhance credit performance for existing customers.
Steven began his career at Goldman Sachs, and prior to returning to the company, held several leadership positions at CIT Group, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Morgan Stanley, and Bank of America.
Steven has an MBA in Finance from the NYU Stern Business School and an undergraduate degree from Cornell University’s School of Engineering. He has held FINRA series 7, 63, 24, and 55 professional licenses.
Steven is active in the Asian American Professional community having been on the boards of Ascend and Ascend Foundation and currently services as the Executive Director of Ascend.
