Mohammad Darwazah is the Director for Geopolitics and Energy at Medley Global Advisors (MGA), one of the world's leading independent macro policy intelligence firms providing analysis on monetary, fiscal and energy policy together with assessments of political risk to many of the world's leading commodity traders, hedge funds and asset managers.

With over a decade of experience covering the Middle East, Mohammad leads the firm’s geopolitical and OPEC coverage. Mohammad joined MGA in 2011 helping clients navigate the region's multitude of risks stemming from the seismic political changes brought about by the Arab Spring. Since then, Mohammad has gone to expand MGA's energy research coverage bringing his wealth of experiences from living and working in the region. Previously Mohammad worked at the commercial office of the United Arab Emirates in Washington DC, as well as with HSBC Bank in Cairo.

Mohammad’s insights have regularly appeared on Bloomberg, Reuters, the Financial Times, Cipher Brief, the Banker, Platts and Market Place. Mohammad has also been invited to present MGA's views at New York University, Columbia University, Wharton School of Business, Platts Middle East, EastWest Institute and Chatham House.

Mohammad holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University, with a focus on International Economic Policy, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis.
