As NASCAR’s managing director, integrated marketing communications, Jon Schwartz helps lead PRWeek’s 2015 In-House Team of the Year and oversees communications for the sanctioning body’s commercial efforts. Schwartz previously held communications roles in Bank of America, MasterCard and UST; spent several years at Taylor working with brands such as Reebok, Castrol, Texaco and Purina; and built public relations departments for multiple sports teams (American Hockey League; Arena Football League; XFL). In 2012, Schwartz was named to the PRWeek “40 Under 40.” In 2014 and 2016, Schwartz was listed in Forbes' “Top 100 Must-Follow Sports Business Twitter Accounts." He’s also member of the Sports PR Summit Steering Committee. At NYU, he’s taught courses in Sports & Entertainment Packaging and Media & Global Technology.
