Mike Bear is a senior executive leader and management consultant with over 30 years of experience in strategy, international operations, process redesign, performance improvement, and turnaround management. He advises clients in the financial services, manufacturing, and social sectors.
His recent engagements include an evaluation of enterprise risk for a $100B bank; running an emerging markets research company; integrating China operations for a $400MM manufacturing company; and serving as senior advisor to an international NGO. At NYU Mike teaches courses in Global Leadership Strategy, Leading Global Organizations, Managing Performance Effectiveness, Business Process and Corporate Social Responsibility.
During his career, Mike served as a member of the Operating Committee of US Trust, as an interim Senior Executive for several Global 500 companies, and in overseas executive positions with Citibank. He began his career at General Electric designing advanced technology aircraft engines.
Mike holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an SM from M.I.T., and a BSE from the University of Pennsylvania.
