Each year, the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association (HSMAI) recognizes the brightest minds in the hospitality industry with the HSMAI Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Optimization list. The awardees were selected by a panel of senior industry executives and were celebrated at the Adrian Awards Dinner Reception and Gala at the New York Marriott Marquis. HSMAI’s Top 25 Extraordinary Minds are professionals who have shared innovative ideas and achieved exceptional results in the preceding 18 months. The Tisch Center is very proud to announce that Professor Lauren Grech was one of the honorees this year. She talks to us about the award in this post.
How do you feel to be a recipient of this year’s HSMAI Extraordinary Minds Award?
I am truly honored and it doesn’t even feel real. Seeing my name next to some of the top hospitality and tourism industry elites makes me feel truly proud of what I've accomplished.
As a recipient of this award, how do you think this will impact your career and your company?
I think it strengthens our presence in the marketplace as well as validating a lot of what we were doing last year. With this prestigious award behind LLG Agency, I think 2020 will be incredibly promising, allowing us to propel our communications company forward.
Who are people who have contributed to your success?
My husband has also been a huge rock for me throughout my career. As CEO and co-founder, he has been a support system in my life and is my right hand person for everything. Additionally, my mother has been incredibly supportive, not only for emotional support but also to provide me with tips and strategies for growing my company, my team and myself. She comes with a ton of experience and I'm grateful that she invests herself into my company and has grown into my mentor.
