BS in Hotel and Tourism Management

Campus program

The BS in Hotel and Tourism Management prepares students for management positions in one of the largest and fastest-growing economic sectors worldwide. Combining a thorough liberal arts program of study with industry-specific business classes.

MS in Hospitality Industry Studies

Campus program

The MS in Hospitality Industry Studies is designed to prepare leaders for working in a dynamic and multifaceted field that is essential to local and regional economies around the world. Course work includes industry-specific case studies that provide a framework for mastering analytical methods, strategic management, and business principles.

MS in Tourism Management

Campus program

The MS in Tourism Management provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the global tourism industry. The curriculum explores issues such as sustainability; policy; and development for students interested in the governmental, private, and nonprofit tourism sectors..

MS in Event Management

The MS in Event Management at the NYUSPS Jonathan M. Tisch Center of Hospitality delivers a cutting-edge curriculum, focused on the various skills event managers need in a fast-growing, globalized industry. It prepares students for event management roles across private, public and not-for-profit organizations.

Certificate in Events and Convention Management

The Certificate in Events and Convention Management provides a solid foundation in the event and convention management process, including venue selection, design and production, stakeholder management, budgeting, contracting, and risk management.

Certificate in Food and Beverage Entrepreneurship

Online program

In the online Certificate in Food and Beverage Entrepreneurship and Innovation, learn how to develop your own food and beverage (F&B) product or service for the marketplace, from concept to creation to consumer.

Certificate in Restaurant Management

Online program

The Certificate in Restaurant Management is designed to build knowledge for someone just entering the You will increase your confidence, your knowledge of best practices, and your financial and operational competency, thus preparing you to reach the next level in your career.

Understanding Hotel Operations: Front Desk and Guest Services

Campus program

This course introduces the responsibilities of front office, including check-in and check-out processes, accounting, and the night audit. Students also explore tools, such as common room codes, the PBX call system, and Opera—one of the most commonly used property management systems. 

Hospitality and Tourism Business Essentials

Online program

In collaboration with Yellow Brick, the Tisch Center faculty present this introductory course, that explores the different aspects and career paths of the hospitality and tourism sectors. This is a self-paced course.

The Jonathan M. Tisch Center of Hospitality offers three globally focused graduate degrees—the MS in Hospitality Industry Studies, the MS in Event Management, and the MS in Tourism Management, as well as a world leading undergraduate degree – the BS in Hotel and Tourism Management. It is also the host of the world-renowned NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference, where all hospitality leaders gather every year to network and discuss trends shaping the industry.
