Division of Programs in Business Welcomes Incoming Spring 2021 Students at Graduate Orientation

The NYU School of Professional Studies (SPS) hosted a virtual Graduate Dean's Welcome & Orientation on Monday, January 25th, 2021. The event included a panel discussion for all new Division of Programs in Business (DPB) students in its seven master’s programs. Dr. Martin Ihrig, Associate Dean of DPB, welcomed over 120 participants and moderated the panel discussion.

Distinguished panelists included: Milos Bujisic, clinical associate professor, Integrated Marketing; Austin Jarred, alum, Human Resource Management & Development; Michael Shum, adjunct instructor, Management & Technology; Margaux Wisniewski, current student, Public Relations & Corporate Communication.

Each panelist shared with students their perspective on pursuing career goals, embracing the virtual academic experience, and work-life balance. They also offered advice on staying connected during these uncertain times, stress management, and taking full advantage of all of the resources afforded by an NYU education.

DPB is the largest division of NYU School of Professional Studies, with over 2,200 students, 500 faculty members, and 6,700 alumni. The Division comprises four centers of excellence that educate leaders in the functional areas of an enterprise. Each department’s credit and non-credit portfolio of educational offerings serves students at every level of their career, providing them with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in critical positions in their professional development.
