DAUS prepares students to take their careers to the next level. We want to congratulate Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies alumna, Amy Ganz (B.S., Digital Communications and Media, ‘19), who was recently accepted at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. This fall, she started the online Communications@Syracuse Master's Program. Amy’s degree will center on journalism innovation, which will look at the future of journalism and the media industry.
Amy hopes to further her journalism and media skills, which is why she chose the journalism innovation track. This degree, she believes, will further elevate her opportunities in the news industry. Eventually, Amy sees herself working in Washington, D.C. or teaching. She is confident this education is the stepping stone to reach her goals.
This confidence stems from her time at NYU SPS. She asserts:
“The classes I took at DAUS prepared me for graduate school by giving me a wide knowledge of communications and media. I'm heading into the [Master’s] program already with a lot of the necessary knowledge, including how to use Adobe software, the best practices for filmmaking, and how to edit videos. SPS helped prepare me for graduate school, my career, and I'm sure whatever else comes my way.”
Congratulations Amy, and best of luck!
