Kristine’s research interests include new literacy studies, educational justice, multimodal composing, participatory culture, and the teaching of writing in both traditional and non-traditional spaces of learning. Kristine holds an Ed.D. in Communication and Education from the Math, Science, and Technology department at Teachers College Columbia University; an M.A. in Professional Writing from Carnegie Mellon University; and a B.A. in Professional & Creative Writing with a minor in Communication Design from Carnegie Mellon University.
